Observe the butterfly whose larvae spins its womb place of birth, place to die hatches new from its singular tomb Whose larvae spins its womb in dark and shadowy night hatches new from its singular tomb spreading wings for flight Oh dark and shadowy night overcome by fears spreading wings for flight hope now disappears Overcome by fears seeking my own voice hope now disappears overwhelmed by simple choice Seeking my own voice re-emergence of my soul overwhelmed by simple choice relinquishing control Re-emergence of my soul metamorphosis complete relinquishing control rekindle hope, no retreat Metamorphosis complete place of birth, place to die rekindle hope, no retreat observe this butterfly! Margaret Doran lives in rural Oregon in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains.
