if whenever straightens that thing he has
(A rhythmic imitation of if everything happens that can't be done by e.e. cummings)

Jon Peterson

if whenever straightens that thing he has
and whatever glistens
when she
sees him
the loveliest herself says welcome in
with a moan
kiss
throbbing at the brim
she’s wanting his wanting her whim

he worships her whim and his thing gets more long
and whim gets wetter
than thing
gets strong
she’s wanting his now feeling desperately true
and her hand
touch
sizzle sigh on through
he’s wanting her wanting him strong

so thing wants a whim and a whim wants along
whim wants together
than touch
can tell
whim wants enfolding to be full and beyond
thing wants his
strong
singing ringing deep
‘til whim is a thing and rings steep
