My Beloved Pal, Buffie Adrianne Brockman It was a dark, raining, cold, winter night. The wind was howling; not a person in sight. A noise at the door; she stood in the light. Long, silky, white hair, wet and matted tight. Her pleading eyes told it all; a homeless soul. How could I take this responsibility, but, there wasn't another soul. Our love embraced - ah! compatibility. She was loving; and always at my side. When I awakened, her eyes met mine, and with delight, she danced till the day she died. Buffie, I loved you; you are enshrined. I miss our wlaks among the beauty on the trails. I miss your adoring eyes and wagging tail. Adrianne Brockman is a retired land use planner and attorney with an avid interest in traditional B&W photography and a new found interest in poetry. She hopes to combine her photogaphy and poetry.
